Government of India has combined the Indian System of Medicine i.e. Ayurveda, Yog with Naturopathy, Unani, Siddha and Homoeopathy on 11th November 2003 and renamed is as AYUSH. (Please see Document No. 464/2003 File No. 1/22/1/2003 Cab. Date 11th Nov. 2003, Rashtrapati Bhawan, New Delhi).

Now we are called as AYUSH Doctors, (please see Govt. of India, Department of AYUSH letter no. Z 16011/5/ 2007 P & E dated 19-12-2007) There are 7 lacs 25 thousand 3 hundred 48 Doctors registered as on date of 1st Jan. 2007 as per the report of Department of AYUSH, Ministry of Health & Family Welfare, Govt. of India. But the Depratment of Health & Family Welfare, Govt. of India, C.C.I.M. and Uttar Pradesh Government has not recognised any other pathy like Integrated Medicine, Alternative, Electropathy etc. (please see letter of C.C.I.M., Govt. of India Misc. No. 3-6/2007 dated 22.11.2007 and Director Ayurveda U.P. letter no. 484/5037/6-8 Lucknow dated 26.2.2008). Now The govt.of India established a separate Ministry Known as,"Ministry Of AYUSH" Formed on 9th 2014. Witch  governs the Development, Protection, Budget, Education and Standard of Education, Drug Manufacturing Standards of AYUSH System in India.

AYUSH MEDICAL ASSOCIATION is the only organisation which represents Registered & Qualified AYUSH Doctors and AYUSH System in India. It has its representation in 28 states with teritary of India.
